General Scope of Construction Project:
APOLLO^® was contracted to construct a 5 acre hazardous waste landfill for an operational commercial landfill. The scope of activities for this project included: Excavation of approx. 79,300 cy (ex-situ) from the landfill cell area and installation of a 3 ft. compacted clay liner, geotextile composite liner system, installation of leachate collection and detection system components, anchor trench construction, removal of former oil well, stockpiling of excess clay soil, installation of 12” sand cushion layer, closure and reinstallation of 400’ deep water well, construction of tier extensions, QA/QC management and reporting, compaction and permeability testing, surveying, Final Reporting, PE certification.
